In search of more adventure, (and the necessity to try out my new GoPro Hero3+ Black) me and a couple of friends headed to the Brecon Beacons in Wales, UK to undertake in some gorge scrambling; essentially climbing, swimming, clambering, jumping and any other methods that come to mind to work your way from the bottom to the top of a gorge. Luckily for us, Wales has plenty of these opportunities.
Bristol is a fantastic base for outdoor activities. Wales is crammed with opportunities for gorge scrambling, coasteering, climbing and hiking. We booked our trip with Inspire2Adventure and decided to try out some gorge scrambling. I thought it might be useful to outline some tips about what to wear/take with you for an experience like this.
What to wear/bring for Gorge Scrambling
- Waterproof trousers
- Hiking Boots
- Light jacket
- Change of clothes
- Waterproof camera (GoPro)
